Date and guests

  1. We’re planning a corporate party. What date suits you best?

    Date

Why ask it. Collects the date each person prefers. The day most of the team can make wins.

  2. Which timing is best for you?

    Multiple choice

    • During the work day
    • Right after work
    • In the evening
    • On the weekend
    • It doesn’t matter

Why ask it. People tick every slot that works. The most-ticked slot is your time.

  3. How many guests would you like to bring?

    Dropdown

    • None, I’ll come alone
    • 1
    • 2
    • 3

Why ask it. Adds guests to the head count you give the venue and the caterer. People who come alone skip the next question.

  4. Who are your guests?

    Multiple choice

    • Family
    • Friends
    • Partner
    • Other, in their own words

Why ask it. Tells you whether to plan for children and families. Only people who bring guests see it.

Program

    • Karaoke
    • Paintball
    • MC
    • Quiz/board games

Why ask it. Shows which acts to book first. The Other field collects ideas that are not on the list.

  2. What kinds of team building activities do you want to do?

    Open answer

Why ask it. Ideas in people’s own words for the part of the event the team does together.

  3. What kind of music do you prefer?

    Multiple choice

    • Jazz
    • Classical

  2. Do you want to take part in a talent show? What is your talent?

    Open answer

When to hold it

The timing chart shows whether the team prefers the work day, the evening or the weekend. Export the dates people chose to see which days come up most.

How many people to expect

Every answer is one employee, and the guests question adds their partners, family and friends. Add up both in the export for the venue and the caterer.

What goes on the program

Entertainment, music and cuisine each get a chart. The top choices are your program and menu. The Other answers and team building ideas add what the lists missed.

How to plan an event people come to.

  1. Ask early

Send the survey before you book anything, so the date and the venue follow the answers.

  2. Offer what you can deliver

Remove paintball or a magician from the list if the budget or the venue rules them out.

  3. Share the plan

Post the date, the program and the menu the team chose. People see their answers shaped the party.

  4. Ask again afterwards

Send a feedback survey the day after the event, while people remember it. The event feedback template is a ready start.

Questions about this template

What questions should a company event survey ask?

The date and time that suit people, how many guests they bring, and what they want from the program: entertainment, team building, music, food and a keepsake. This template asks all of it in ten questions.

Can I use it for corporate event feedback?

Yes. Copy the template, rewrite the questions in the past tense and add a rating of the event and an open question on what to change. Send it the day after the party.

How do I get a head count?

Each answer is one employee, and the guests question adds the people they bring. Export the answers to Excel, CSV or SPSS on any plan and add them up.

Do employees have to give their name?

No, nobody is asked for a name or e-mail. If you need to contact talent show volunteers, add a name question. To hide IP address, country, browser and device as well, turn on anonymous mode in the survey settings (every plan, including Free).

Can I change the questions and the options?

Yes. After you copy the template you can edit every question and option, remove what your venue cannot offer and add your own.
