What Are Old Responses?
Why are old responses needed?
If you modify a survey after you have already received responses, a situation may arise where new questions or answer options no longer match the previously collected data. For example, if you add a new answer option or change an existing one, the results already collected may become inaccurate.
To avoid errors during analysis, the system automatically creates a new version of the edited question. This helps separate old and new responses, preserving the accuracy of reports and allowing the data to be analyzed correctly.
In future updates, functionality will be added to allow choosing whether to create a new version or keep the current version of the question fixed.
How do old responses work?
When editing questions (adding or editing answers, changing the title), a new version of the question is created in the report, while the previous version is preserved and you can view old responses.
To view old responses, go to the “Results” tab - “Report” - “Old responses”.
After completing these steps, the expanded menu will display all responses from the previous version of the question.
When exporting, the table will display all received responses, including those from old versions of questions.
